Is it true that you were a private chef for a billionaire?

…and other FAQs.

  • I make videos on my YouTube channel and write online courses where I encourage men to ditch the booze and optimize their lives through simple habits.

Snapshot: born in 1980 in Portland, Oregon, I wasn't exactly living the high life. Dropped out, got hooked on drinks, and spent my 20s and 30s traveling around the States, partying way too hard.

Fast forward to now: I'm sober, hitched, and a dad to my little guy, Miles (yep, after Miles Davis). Living in Sedona, Arizona, I'm all about turning lives around, just like I did with mine.

  • There are two reasons for this website.

    1. To offer my premium writing service to clients.

    2. To promote the video content on my YouTube channel.

  • The written word is a powerful thing. Everything starts with an idea. We think, talk, write, create.

You should appreciate the value of well crafted words. Their potential for changing minds and making money is immense.

The videos on my YouTube channel are all about helping young men to get sober and stay free, and then doing something great with their lives.

With my own self development practice, I hope to make a difference in the lives of others. Your brother, your son, your husband.

We need more men to be strong, and clear, to make productive contributions in society.

  • Yes. I worked for Peter Nygard in 2012.

It started with me as his private chef. Then I specialized in making elite elixirs. Finally, I became just another one of his slaves.

It was a one in a billion opportunity. I traveled the world with his bitches on a jumbo jet. The life lessons will always be with me.

He’s a sad old man in jail now.

What is your big "Why?"

Look, I dig Simon Sinek's whole "Start With Why" thing. But let's be real - if your stuff's no good, nobody's buying your why.

You can wax poetic about your purpose and passion all day long. But I'm out if you don't clearly tell me what you're offering and what's in it for me.

Bring the fire, but show me the steak, not just the sizzle. Go ahead and lead with your mission, but back it up with the goods.

Anyway, I used to spend a lot of time reflecting on my Why. It was all about changing the world. Lofty, I know.

But honestly, I just want to love what I do and never fly coach. Here’s my MO in three bullet points:

  • Time liberation

  • Financial freedom

  • Location independence

So, I like doing what I do, making money from it, and yeah, helping others too.

That’s my Mission Statement 🚀

Why do your clients love you?

Because I'm a straight-shooting, humble dude who works his ass off.

I live by the Four Agreements: always do your best, don't assume shit, nothing is personal, and keep your word. I obsess over every little detail to deliver kickass work on time, if not early. Even when tensions run high, I keep calm like a skinny Buddha.

People love when you listen to them closely, but it's freakin' rare these days. So I make that a priority. Surprising how many folks don't give a crap.

Saving clients time is a huge deal, and they appreciate the hell out of it. I'm like a time wizard, making all their busywork disappear.

Poof!

I’m in. What should I do next?

About David Whipple.

I grew up in a big, chaotic family in Portland, Oregon where love and money flowed like molasses. We've all gone our separate ways since then.

I ditched high school at 16 to hang out at the local library, learning way more useful shit than any classroom could teach me. Back then, music was my one true obsession. I played bass and even made a few bucks as a pro musician for a while.

In my early 20s I became a full-blown alcoholic, a habit that stuck with me for over 22 fucked up years. But now, I've finally wised up and gotten sober. During all those drunken years, I hitchhiked all across America. Those adventures taught me a ton and gave me memories for a lifetime.

At some point in all that haze, I was a private chef for a billionaire and flew around the world on his private jet. Holy shit, what an eye-opening experience!

In 2016, I met Tracy, now my amazing wife. We've built a beautiful life together and have an adorable baby boy named Miles (after the legendary Miles Davis).

Over the years, I've worked a shitload of jobs. Mostly as a chef or dishwasher in restaurants. I learned a lot from those gigs, even though I fucking hated most of them.

Now at 43, I'm living my dream: creating videos for my YouTube channel and ghostwriting educational email courses for other self-development content creators.

I love helping people grow their brands and educate their audience. I've wanted to be a writer since I was a teen, and now I actually get paid to do it. Pretty damn cool.

As a recovering drunk and new dad, my goal is to lead by example and be a decent role model for other men. Life is messy and complex as hell, so I try to keep things simple and focus on what really matters.

This is the life I've always dreamed of, and I couldn't be more stoked.
